Our Expertise

Tall Fescue is a cool season grass that performs best when temperatures are between 50 degrees Fahrenheit and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Fescue has somewhat of a coarse texture with long straight blades standing upright. Mowing heights vary from no less than 3", and no more than 5". Tall Fescue produces a darker-green turf naturally. With roots that can grow up to four feet deep into the soil, it will improve any lawn it is over seeded into. Our blend grows well in clay or sandy soils and in full sun or partial shade.

Tifway 419 is a deep green Bermuda grass with a fine texture. It has excellent weed and disease resistance and is a superior turf for fairways, tees, athletic fields and home lawns. When cut at ¾ to 1 ½ inches, 419 provides an excellent impact-absorbing cushion. Because of its very dense top growth, Tifway 419 tolerates more wear and better resists weed invasion. It is more resilient in winter months when the grass is dormant. Tifway 419 is the most widely used Hybrid Bermudagrass used is the South for Golf and Sports fields.

Zoysiagrass (Zoysia species) was introduced into the United States from Asia and grows best during the warm (80 to 95 °F) months of spring, summer and early fall. They grow vigorously during this time and produce a dense, attractive lawn. Zoysiagrass will turn brown with the first fall frost and remain dormant during the winter. Its cultivars are adapted to the entire state and are some of the most cold-tolerant of the warm-season grasses. These grasses form an excellent turf when properly established and managed. There are several species and cultivars of zoysiagrass available that can be used in differing aspects of the landscape.
